Neurodivergent Assessments

Comprehensive Neurodivergence Assessment (Autism & ADHD)

Our Comprehensive Neurodivergence Assessment offers a structured and clinically grounded evaluation designed to determine the presence of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adults and older adolescents. Rather than treating these as entirely separate pathways, the assessment considers the ways in which Autism and ADHD frequently intersect, examining both within a single, integrated diagnostic framework. Attention is also given to co-occurring conditions, subtle or masked presentations, internalised profiles, trauma history, and relevant differential diagnoses.

The process is intended to deliver clear diagnostic outcomes, deepen understanding of individual neurodevelopmental patterns, and generate practical, tailored recommendations that enhance functioning across occupational, academic, relational, and independent living contexts.

Assessment Process

1. Intake Session

Your first session (Telehealth or in-person) focuses on connection, collaboration, and understanding your goals. We explore your background, current concerns, expectations, and areas of difficulty. Following this session, tailored questionnaires are provided to gather structured background information.

2. Assessment Sessions

Over a minimum of two additional sessions, your psychologist conducts an in-depth diagnostic interview using a therapeutic assessment approach. This includes:

  • Developmental, educational, psychosocial, and medical history

  • Exploration of communication patterns, executive functioning, sensory processing, emotional regulation, and coping strategies

  • Structured and standardised measures

  • Clinical observation

  • Collateral information where appropriate

Sessions integrate structured tools with open dialogue, allowing for both clinical rigour and reflective exploration.

3. Clinical Formulation & Feedback

All data is integrated into a comprehensive formulation. During the feedback session, your psychologist will:

  • Discuss diagnostic findings

  • Clarify differential considerations

  • Explain assessment results in accessible language

  • Explore how neurodivergent traits impact daily life

  • Provide tailored recommendations and next steps

Report Options

Diagnostic Report (Comprehensive Option)

The Diagnostic Report is the most detailed and comprehensive option.

Includes:

  • Formal confirmation of Autism and/or ADHD diagnosis (if criteria are met)

  • Integrated analysis across domains (social communication, executive functioning, behaviour, sensory processing, attention regulation)

  • Consideration of co-occurring conditions

  • Detailed written report with personalised insights

  • Clear explanation of assessment results in everyday language

  • Practical, evidence-based recommendations (workplace, academic, relational, therapeutic, sensory and executive functioning supports)

  • Impairment context and guidance for accommodations

  • Documentation suitable for healthcare providers, funding applications (including NDIS where relevant), schools, and workplaces

This option is recommended when a complete diagnostic picture and formal documentation are required.

Investment:

Autism & ADHD Comprehensive Diagnostic Report – $3,100

ADHD or Autism Only Assessment Option

Where appropriate, a focused ADHD or Autism assessment can be conducted.

Includes:

  • Intake session

  • Diagnostic interview

  • Questionnaire setup, scoring, and interpretation

  • Report writing

  • Feedback session

Investment:

ADHD only Assessment – $1,990

Autism Spectrum Disorder only Assessment - $2340

What You Gain

  • Clear understanding of how Autism and/or ADHD traits present in your life

  • Diagnostic clarification and differential considerations

  • Insight into co-occurring conditions

  • Personalised, evidence-based recommendations

    • Communication and sensory supports

    • Executive functioning and organisational strategies

    • Workplace and academic accommodations

    • Psychotherapy or coaching approaches

    • Guidance for medication planning (where relevant, noting medication requires psychiatrist or paediatrician involvement)

  • Structured plan for next steps and ongoing support

Important Note

Psychologists can provide formal diagnoses of Autism and ADHD. However, only psychiatrists (or paediatricians for children) can prescribe medication. A Diagnostic Report or Letter may support this process but cannot independently provide access to medication.

Optional post-assessment processing sessions are available for individuals who wish to further integrate insights and begin implementing recommendations with therapeutic support.
